So why is that cool? Well, the new flash player can support H.264 encoded video natively  (that’s 720p HD video at 1280 X 720 for those of you keeping score…). Here Fabio Sonnati has been experimenting with ways to reduce the normal 1.2 to 2 Mbit/s needed to get it to look good down to 500Kbit/s. That’s tremendous! A much lower bandwidth requirement.
