From The Film Geek Side Of Life… This Is Huge!!!

After almost 80 years, one of the most famous films of German and in fact worldwide cinema may finally be restored! According to reports, the original version of Metropolis was 210 minutes or so long, but was severely cut when it went into worldwide release (by almost 25%).. Apparently a long lost copy from the early 1920’s has been in Buenos Aries all this time in the possesion of film collectors who where unaware of what they had in hand… Shamefully (having studied film in college, and even having taken a ’silent cinema’ class), this is a film I’ve never seen!
