This Opening Day is like Xmas Morning…

observations, sports

So it’s 8am and its week one of the 2010 NFL season and there’s a palpable sense of excitement unlike any in recent years. I literally felt like a kid on xmas this morning…Couldn’t sleep any more, had to get up.

So why the excitement? I think it comes down to multiple factors but they all culminate in the changes that started with Holmgren coming to the Browns… I don’t think anyone feels the Browns are going to wipe the table with other teams, and even expectations of an 8-8 season are tempered; but at the same time there’s this energy from having a veteran quarterback leading the way, explosive players like Cribbs, Wallace & Hillis, depth at running back and even the venerable Phil Dawson hitting those insanely long field goals in the preseason… It doesn’t hurt that all the Browns on Twitter are feeling it as well…

Simply put… Go Browns!

Why Pioli-to-Browns will happen – Don Banks – SI.com.

Nice write up on who may come in and take a shot at returning the Browns to some semblance of an NFL team…

The Browns come out of this poll at #3, leaving plenty of room for arguement and opinion…

Browns enjoying harmonious camp – Don Banks – SI.com

Nice writeup on the current state of Browns training camp, which is humming along smoothly and for the first time isn’t riddled with controversy and injury.
