Recently read about how TBS actually “paused” a show, to air one of those bottom of the screen promos for another of its shows… In the world of creative ways to grab attention from those already annoying bottom of screen blurbs, at first I thought this was pretty unique and cool… But after ya think about it for a second, if a TV station can start deciding when you get ads above and beyond the standard commercial breaks, what will be next? Pausing live sports events to advertise for Juice???

Straight out of the MTV Movie Awards (which I haven’t watched in like 5 years…). The videos are always the funniest stuff anyway…

Hulu is a pretty great resource to view recent full episodes of a ton of shows in pretty good quality. I’ve caught up on a few things thanks to this site… Now they’ve got “It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia”!! Nice!!

Last nights episode of The Office was spectacular. Lots of what makes that show great. Starting off with a great prank by Jim was hilarious. It reminded me of one of the things the BBC version used to do and it was a classic Jim/Dwight exchange…
I thought they did an excellent job of bringing in a new character to an ensemble cast. The new HR person, Holly, is a character with a lot of potential. Micheal is beyond smitten (after instantly hating her because she’s “A New Toby”. She seems to get his humor and I can see them really playing that up next season.
The best might have been Dwight telling Holly that Kevin was “special”. That led to some hilarious scenes…
Finally they pushed the Jim/Pam plot forward as well as Jim was about to propose to Pam, only to be undermined by Andy’s exuberance…

Other good bits… Ryan’s You Tube arrest video, the big Dwight/Angela reveal at the end, Pam’s off to NYC, Toby’s awkward “Does anybody have a camera?”, Anti-Gravity? - I have Anti-Depressant. I can connect you there…., Yoga/Yoda, and the “quality sperm-bank next to the Ihop (the place Micheal likes because he can color on the placemats…).

Awesome. Thank god for TiVo! Was a big night of TV viewing with 4 shows really standing out last night. First off was ‘Supernatural‘.. Yea, the show is pretty good believe it or not. Last nights was fairly hilarious as Dean & Sam have a run in with a “ghost hunting” show called “Ghostfacers” (catch some highlights here…). A nice balance of the funny and the creepy…

Next up, had to get in the return episode of Lost. Looks like once again they are kicking things into high gear. Lots of tension, some death, a few twists, and the return of the mysterious black smoke…

Then it was time to switch to the funny with The Office & 30 Rock… Easily the top 2 funniest shows on TV right now. The Office had some fantastic Micheal moments, but I think it was a battle between Toby and Ryan for most awkwardness.. And how ’bout Mr. Schrute and his flippant disregard for his success with the “Amazon” and his insistence Ryan’s pal was a Hobbit… Then 30 Rock (which never disappoints)… Business Drunk! The rough Amadeus tone was awesome… “I didn’t hear hand washing!!”…

I’ve always been a sucker for remixed music, bootleg/mashup stuff, etc… So now we’ve got some nice quality Video mashups happening! Check out this ‘Cut-Up TV” piece and below it… Magnum P.I. on LOST!!
