First off, I’ve got to hand it to the writers of Lost. They’ve really brought back the elements of fascination and mystery that got so many people hooked during the first season. Of all the season ending shows over the past few weeks (and we watched way too many of them), I’d give the top prize to Lost. Not only from the perspective of the show’s plot, which left us hanging with just the right amount of old questions answered and new questions raised; but also gave some new twists that felt less contrived than much of this past season had. I think the show seemed to lose some steam during it’s hiatus, and a lot of the time Jack, Kate and Sawyer were with the Others felt slow moving and a little out of sorts. Pulling up the final episode with a ‘flash-forward’ was a nice touch (even though Jack mentioning his Father felt a little forced). Continue Reading »
