HDTV World - CNET.com
An awesome resource for anyone trying to understand all the jibber-jabber around those ‘new-fangled’ things they call HDTV’s. Wanna understand 1080p? Click the link…What’s the dif’ between LCD, Plasma and DLP? Click the link… A good link to hang on to for that “one day in the future” when an HDTV will be adorning my living room….

Get the Flash Player to see the wordTube Media Player.

Well, another ‘Vintage’ video to post. this one comin at’cha from way back in 1993. Directed and produced by Tony Kern (now of Mythopolis). This comes from the Bowling Green days (ahhh…good timez…). For those of you who might be curious, I don’t know the whereabouts of the ‘Labcoat’, so, no…you cannot borrow it. I may be able to dig up the green snow hat however…

For more information about Charlotte’s Webb from back in the day, check out Matt’s pages dedicated to this long lost Metal treasure…(tee hee…)

Haga - Revisited for Old Timez Sake…

Get the Flash Player to see the wordTube Media Player.

Here’s a little revisit to a video I made a few years back for a band I was in a few years back of those few years back…Someday (maybe a few years forward) I’ll make some more videos and then I’ll post them and stuff… Also, just wanted to test this FLV embedding Wordpress plugin I just snagged online (that was my uber-geek sentence for the day…)

Big Brother 8 - Get The Deets…

Wednesday, July 18th, 2007

Morty’s Big Brother 8So, yea… For some reason every year I get really sucked into ‘Big brother’. I can’t explain it. I mean, I like a few of the reality shows every now and then but for some reason, I always get wrapped up in this one. Maybe it’s the simplicity of it (12 - 14 peeps locked in a house for a few months, goofy competitions for prizes and food, lots of arguing and drama…). It could be that it’s on TV 3 times a week (and now daily thanks to the 3 hour Big Brother After Dark program on Showtime Too…). Or it could be that, thanks to my favorite technology, the Internet, at any moment in time I can see and read about what’s going on in that goofy house in California…

Which brings me to this link: Morty’s TV site has the best ‘free’ coverage around (you have to pay CBS & Real Networks to view the live feeds). Lots of up to date info, links to pics and videos, etc… All the garbage you could want to know. Hey, if your gonna get sucked into a trashy reality show ya might as well do it right!

Joost est Kewl!

Tuesday, July 17th, 2007

JoostJoost - Way Cool. What is it? Well, it’s a Beta Internet TV service that has some really cool partners so far (Comedy Central, Adult Swim, some Independant Film groups, music, etc…) And the interface and functionality are impressive as well. It streams full screen video to your computer, but uses the space to the sides and bottom for extra information. It’s very intuitive and has many cool features like instant access to all channels and program descriptions, the ability to chat and learn more about what your viewing, and just an all around cool look and feel to the web Tv viewing experience. At some point I’d like to hook this up to my main TV and see how it looks, but for now the experience of viewing some full screen content on the laptop is quite enjoyable.

Joost was in the news recently as, even though they are still in Beta, they’ve landed a new VH1 series (called I Hate My 30’s) before it airs on TV. I know Adobe has a video program coming out soon, and there are probably others, but I’d say Joost has a jump on the competition and seems to be doing it right!…

By the way, I’ve got invites if anyone is interested in taking part in the beta program!..(Just leave a comment or shoot me an email)…

When Vacation Throws You For A Loop

thrownLoop
Who knew 8 days of relaxation, beachbound laziness, beautiful skies, great company and fantastic foods could throw things out of wack? I’m of course referring to the dreaded adjustment back to real life after what was the most leisurely down time we’ve had in a long time.

That being said, I’ve of course shirked all bloggy responsibilities (of which there really are none, save for you 3 or 4 folks who might browse this page). I really want to kick this site into gear and now that I’ve been back a week, there should be no more excuses.

So here’s an excuse… Busy at work, busy at (new) home, busy this weekend, etc… It’s even becoming busy while sleepytime…

Nevertheless, starting next week (fingers crossed), I’ll get the ball rolling again. Gotta rant about the amazing food had in Myrtle (say Umberto’s 3 times quickly in the mirror), the crazy business (or lack thereof) going on in the TV world the past few weeks, bands I’ve (too lately) discovered and other music bits, and the tale of times in our little area of Ohio… Plus photos and schtuff…
