Yea, busy times all around.
Quick highlights? Visit from Terri & Jon, nice weather, busy at work and at work and at work, still sorting out the house options, and the ever present looming Fall TV Schedule is upon us (and I’m sure my TiVo will be extra busy!)…
The Ugh? Of course another close loss for the Browns (on some trendy yet shafty timeout calling by the Raiders in the waning seconds of the game…)…
So it goes without saying that this weekend had a great moment (amidst all the raking of rocks and dirt) and that would be the Browns Ginormous win over the Bengals. A glimmer of hope after the week one debacle against the unmentionables… Huge stats all around but I thought the best was Jamal Lewis showing he’s still an All-Pro running back in this league. Did you see that burst of speed on this 62 yard TD run? Awesome….
It’s finally here! 2 NEW episodes of the greatest show since TV’s were invented by a young Idaho boy named Lester, in his basement as he tried to “communicate with the Moon Folk” or ‘Moonolkies’ as he called them quite often while discussing their existance with fellow members of his “Build A Thing To Talk With The Moonolkies” club. If you are easily offended by just about anything, then this show is not for you and you’ll be better off turning off your TV, grabbing a notebook or other material on which to write, and drawing pictures of daisies, puppies or soup bowls for the remainder of the evening… Then get a good nights sleep…

Yup. One year ago today I started my job in Cleveland and the ball has been rolling ever since. Yea, I know there’s another famous thing about this day, but right now I’m just focused on the fact that a year has gone by quicker than any year has gone by before. i hope that is not a pptern (though I suspect it is…)
Quick year synopsis (i.e.- in a nutshell…)
Awesome Vacation, New Temporary digs followed by new permanent digs, old & new friends, somebody jumped from 1st to 2nd grade, wife and life in good shape, Kewl job, much yardwork ahead, Browns questionable at best but Cavs & Indians were/are on a roll, the Sopranos ended, some friends I didn’t see enough (or at all…) and I got to shovel snow….
Ugh. What else can I say. That was pathetic. Our starting QB is sitting on the bench, while Charlie Frye and Derek Anderson stink up the joint. A bunch of sacks, only one of which weren’t the QB’s fault, 5 turnovers, etc. etc… Last year and in the past it seemed the Browns woes were team based and there was plenty of blame to go around. Yesterday felt like it was all the 2 QB’s. Frye just looked awful, holding the ball way way too long. Anderson threw behind receivers all day. The defense fell apart in the second half, but can you blame them after practically living on the field for so long?
Again, I say ‘ugh…’
Okay, like the world needs more lists and opinions and whatnot. But what actually is cool about this web list (beside the obvious fact that Buffy The Vampire Slayer is listed), is that the site shows a video clip and a nice synopsis of each choice! And it’s not a “countdown” type list but instead just a simple alphabetical list containing 100 choice television programs. Now I’ve only skimmed the list quickly, but it was nice to see some of my faves on there (and not just all the old standby shows like MASH & Archie Bunker). 24, Battlestar, Buffy, Freaks & Geeks, Lost, Both versions of the Office!! (Nice call), Six feet under, Twin Peaks, etc…
