After my previous post on 80′s Metal, I had to do a quick look for an old High School buddy, John DeMarco. And what do ya know? 1st clip and he’s rockin out through some Boss Pedals… From what I hear he’s doin some great stuff with his music (and congrats to that…). It’s a pretty cool clip…
Back in the late 80′s (as I’ve already admitted) I was a sucker for Headbanger’s Ball on Saturday Nights and 120 Minutes on Sundays… For some reason last night I was thinking about these two songs…Both called ‘Futureworld’. The Pretty Maids I believe we’re from Sweden somewhere and they played this clip a lot. Then there was the ‘Helloween’ version… I remember seeing Helloween, Grim Reaper and Armored Saint back then in a heavy duty Metal Triple Bill… Yikes! Check out the full-on 80′s metal garb in both these clips… Good times.
Blatently posted across the You Tube main page, but funny nevertheless… This is a promo video for Will Ferrell’s upcoming movie “Semi-Pro”. Trailer looks good and this video has some funny clips as well…
Another one of them Video ‘Blasts From The Past’… I always dug old INXS and Micheal Hutchence was fantastic in the film “Dogs In Space”, but a rare gem was stumbling onto a side project he did called Max Q. This whole (and only) album of theirs is phenomenal (at least in that late 80′s vein of music…) Found a few videos on You Tube, but this is one of the best songs on there…

Here’s an interesting clip I saw on You Tube last night. I can’t tell if this guy is ramping up to do a full blown documentary and is previewing some snippits, but it’s an interesting 3 minutes none the less. There’s a few things I had no idea about and I wish it was longer!! There’s about 13 seconds of black space at the beginning and end for some reason, so hang in there…
Felt like a blast from the past. These old videos are crazy! But hey, that was what all the kids we’re doin back then. This track is off my favorite Siouxsie & The Banshees Album, Kaleidoscope… Did I mention the video is far from great? The band looks like they’d rather be anywhere but there…
Here’s a fun little trippy Tim Burtonesque video to start off the day. The Band is ‘Stolen Babies‘. Kind of in the mellow Mr. Bungle vein. A nice groovy tune…
In a very ‘uber-geek’ sorta way, this video is very cool. Kind of a 4 minute history of the web, a statement on it’s impact on us all and the world around us. It’s an exciting time and just to think how the world has changed since I was in college, let alone since my parents or grandparents were my age is remarkable (re:Shorpy)… Also, there’s a weird little watermark in the ‘You Tube’ segment of this vid that caught my attention… Strange…
