Blue-Ray wins the battle for the latest Disc dominance in the market. But really… How long before everything is available online and through streaming/networked resources like Netflix, FIOS and Apple TV..? This CNet news article lays it out pretty clearly…
Earlier I posted a link to the website for Gondry’s new movie “Be Kind Rewind”… The plot: Movies get erased and these guys have to recreate the flicks to get by(well that’s the shortest synopsis I could come up with… I’m sure there’s more to it…). Anyway, Michel Gondry has now taken the trailer and “Sweded” it! Genius!
I mean, sure… it wont really fit above the fireplace or between the front windows, so my location options are narrowed to two spots… but I could watch a movie from my backyard if I wanted to! And I’m sure it won’t be more than like $14,000. So what if I could buy a new car for the same price… Maybe I’ll start a little smaller and work my way up to the 103 inch…

Wow… This will go down as one of the more ridiculous things I’ve heard today, that’s for sure… Apparently, the major reason the RIAA wants authorities to ‘crack-down’ (no pun intended) on CD Piracy is that it leads them to gun & drug dealers, as well as terrorists… Fantastic! Now if people only still even bought CD’s, many of the world’s crimes would be solved lickity-split!
I guess these are starting to get organized and are springing up all over (New York, London, Toronto, etc…). Kind of a neat idea (until it shows up everywhere…). Reminded me of the times in 8th grade when we’d drive a teacher nuts by doing timed things (like at 11:55, everybody dropped their books off their desk…). I think we did something once or twice a week for a while in French class and absolutely drove our teacher nutz! (If my daughter is reading this… don’t do that…hehe…)

Sorry, this is a geeky post I know, but thought this was a nice piece of work about common application design mistakes (and web design), and some ideas on workarounds…
