This new flick looks pretty hilarious. I’m a huge fan of anything Michele Gondry has done, and Jack Black and Mos Def a usually consistently great in whatever they’ve been in. The website has some cool stuff going on so check that out. Basically, the “internet” gets erased (much like the “movies” in the film, and the website is a nice flash recreation of google and some supporting links… Check out lots of trailers for all the ‘remade’ or ’sweded’ films by Black & Def here…

Hmmm, 10 years ago I could have been a ’sleeveface’ expert. Sadly, the vinyl is log gone. Excellent instructional video however… Check out “sleeveface.com” for more photos and info!

Let the mass marketing continue!! More Jackie Moon (Will Ferrell) stuff for the upcoming flick Semi-Pro… This site is pretty hilarious… A series of :15 and :30 second spots for Old Spice by Mr. Moon himself… Place a vote and ya getz 3 more videos! (2 more ads and a set of outtakes…). My vote, I must say, was for “Number Two”…although I felt “Caveman” was a close second…

So why is that cool? Well, the new flash player can support H.264 encoded video natively  (that’s 720p HD video at 1280 X 720 for those of you keeping score…). Here Fabio Sonnati has been experimenting with ways to reduce the normal 1.2 to 2 Mbit/s needed to get it to look good down to 500Kbit/s. That’s tremendous! A much lower bandwidth requirement. And the quality for streaming video is looking fantastic… I’m at over 1900 resolution and it still looks great… Click the image or here to view the 500Kbit/s example, and here to read more about the experiments…
