Big Ole’ TV Night!

TV Night
Awesome. Thank god for TiVo! Was a big night of TV viewing with 4 shows really standing out last night. First off was ‘Supernatural‘.. Yea, the show is pretty good believe it or not. Last nights was fairly hilarious as Dean & Sam have a run in with a “ghost hunting” show called “Ghostfacers” (catch some highlights here…). A nice balance of the funny and the creepy…

Next up, had to get in the return episode of Lost. Looks like once again they are kicking things into high gear. Lots of tension, some death, a few twists, and the return of the mysterious black smoke…

Then it was time to switch to the funny with The Office & 30 Rock… Easily the top 2 funniest shows on TV right now. The Office had some fantastic Micheal moments, but I think it was a battle between Toby and Ryan for most awkwardness.. And how ’bout Mr. Schrute and his flippant disregard for his success with the “Amazon” and his insistence Ryan’s pal was a Hobbit… Then 30 Rock (which never disappoints)… Business Drunk! The rough Amadeus tone was awesome… “I didn’t hear hand washing!!”…

Funny Fun Fun…

2 Months Later… Foo Detroit Highlights!!!

Thursday, April 24th, 2008

Well, the show was amazing (so great in fact that they are now coming to “The Q” here in Cleveland and we’re going to that show as well…). Never been to Joe Louis Arena, but it wasn’t a bad venue. The crowd was great and the show was truly fantastic. The Foo Fighters are somehow tight and loose at the same time, and I love the way they went off on tangents from their songs into incredible little jams. The secondary “acoustic” stage thing mid set was pretty nice as well… All in all it was an all too quick 2+ hours I’ve spent in a while…

Casio EX-F1… Looks pretty sweet (but $$$)

Wednesday, April 23rd, 2008

Would love to get my hands on one of these. I guess from some things I’ve read there are some sacrifices made to allow for the ‘extras’ on this item, but wow… 300 - 600 fps movie recording? 60fps bursts? I love the ‘past movie’ (buffering) on my Casio, but this takes it to a whole new level, allowing the camera to capture full resolution images to the buffer so you truly can never miss anything…

PicLens… Coolest Firefox AddOn Ever?

Tuesday, April 22nd, 2008

PicLens
Wow, this one is pretty slick. Download this AddOn and browse images and videos in one of the slickest ways yet. It’s real snappy, very intuitive and highly addicting. The way it handles YouTube is real nice and the ability to search a nice number of image based sites is cool. Quickly scanning through hundreds of search results instead of hitting “next” over and over is also a plus…

Don Banks… Browns Props…

Wednesday, April 16th, 2008

So far since the release of the NFL schedule, one of the big surprises of the day was the number of Prime Time and National appearances by the Browns. Don Banks has a nice take on it here

Don’t know if you’ve heard, but the color that will be all the rage in the NFL this fall is brown. Cleveland Brown. It’ll be everywhere. Just watch.

The long downtrodden but recently resurgent Browns have been deemed ready for their close-up by the league schedule makers, and that’s why we should all prepare to see plenty of Derek Anderson and the rest of his high-scoring, play-making teammates.

From virtual obscurity to a headline act. That’s the quick trip the Browns have taken. Like many, I have Cleveland as the team to beat in its division this season, with its first trip to the playoffs since 2002 predicted.

Make no mistake, Brown is very in this year.
