I think I may have turned my iPOD into basically a gigantical CD… Tried plugging it in to an ‘mp3 player’ type boom box thing on Saturday at a friends house and got some weird screen about incompatibility, etc… No biggie, cuz all day Sunday it played in the car and in my player at home…
Monday rolls along and I’m going to plug it into the computer for my normal ‘at work’ listening through my PC…Up pops this nice ‘USB Device Not Recognized” bubble and I’m none too thrilled…
Well after much googling and whatnot, it appears there is no way to “restore” an ipod to factory settings without a connection to a computer! This blows… So now I cannot listen to it unless I plug my speakers directly into it.
It still charges via computer, but I’m stuck with the music that’s on there for good. Luckily it’s an 80gb drive and I’ve got an excellent mishmash of stuff on there, but I’m also one to swap stuff around on there 3 to 4 times a month minimum… I’m sure I could saunter into ‘The Apple Store’ and see what they can do and I can’t believe that there’s no way to restore defaults without a PC (like some funky ninja button code press combo or something…)…”Sigh…”
Okay, so this post is relatively meaningless but I also felt like I’m neglecting ‘spipasucci.com’ and until I figure out what I want this site to be, I may just start blabbin about random events and ‘whatnots’ in my day to day…
