Boxee is pretty awesome. And I was looking at it seriously contending with my DirecTv subscription in the next 6 months to a year as a viable alternative to paying for TV. No in another major dumb yet expected move, content providors to Hulu have decided they don’t want to be on Boxee… The same ads and same content runs through Boxee as does online, so it really makes no sense at all. They’re only gaining viewers and potential viewers of ads by being on Boxee..
I know there will be big bumps in the road to integrated internet/media, but this is a step in the wrong direction. Hopefully this will be a tiny hiccup and 2 years from now I’ll be watching any and all available content online through a portal to my television and not just on my laptop screen…
I thought this episode was pretty awesome. Lost is starting to really get intriguing again and these new mysteries are refreshing. I thought the fact that we see them on the Island at the outset really helped the episode along. Knowing that Hurley & Kate ended up on the Island when previously we’d believe they weren’t there was a good device… This write up on TV Squad is pretty good. I don’t agree with everything, and I like the whole infiltration of the Dharma Initiative plot subline. Can’t wait to see what happens next week!!
Well, I thought it was good! Looks like the ratings were horrible which sucks. usually Joss Whedon shows need a few episodes to get up and running. I think this one has potential, so I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
It’s not a huge “suck you in” type of show like ‘Lost’ or ‘Fringe’… But i think the premise leaves so much room for different angles that hopefully that will be a good thing. It could easily become so disjointed and not have enough story to tie it together that every episode floats on an Island by itself instead of tying into a larger plotline… I think again with Joss at the helm, there’s got to be a deeper master plan… That’s always been his M.O..
